Your work will directly contribute to ensuring that our clients’ digital transformations are seamless, scalable, and built for long-term success.

This role demands an individual who thrives in an Agile and DevOps environment, capable of designing enterprise-grade automation frameworks and collaborating closely with developers, architects, and business analysts. You’ll be responsible for defining and implementing test strategies, frameworks, and automation standards, ensuring robust testing coverage across web, mobile, and API layers. At NTT DATA, quality isn’t just a phase—it’s embedded in every step of development, and your expertise will help make that vision a reality.

Beyond day-to-day testing, this role offers the opportunity to grow your skills in emerging tools and methodologies—from cloud-based testing environments to AI-driven test automation. As part of NTT DATA’s global Quality Engineering practice, you’ll join a collaborative, forward-thinking team dedicated to continuous improvement, innovation, and professional development. Your contribution will help global organizations achieve reliability, scalability, and superior customer experiences through technology.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test frameworks and scripts using tools such as Selenium, Tosca, Playwright, or TestComplete.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define test strategies, automation goals, and enterprise-level quality engineering standards.

  • Perform functional, regression, load, and performance testing, ensuring that every release meets business and technical requirements.

  • Review and maintain manual and automated test cases, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation coverage expansion.

  • Participate in code reviews and sprint planning, ensuring testing activities align with Agile and CI/CD workflows.

  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including Test Plans, QE Handbooks, and Automation Framework Guidelines.

  • Implement and execute TDD and BDD methodologies using frameworks like SpecFlow or Cucumber to bridge gaps between development and testing.

  • Integrate automated tests with Jenkins or other CI/CD pipelines to achieve continuous testing and faster feedback cycles.

  • Provide technical mentorship to junior testers, promoting best practices in automation design and debugging.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report test results, ensuring visibility and traceability of quality metrics across teams.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.

  • 4+ years of experience in test automation and software testing, preferably in enterprise-scale environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and one or more automation tools such as Tosca, Playwright, or TestComplete.

  • Proficiency in Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript for developing reusable and modular automation scripts.

  • Strong knowledge of QA processes, test data management, environments, and performance testing principles.

  • Proven experience with BDD/TDD frameworks, particularly Cucumber or SpecFlow, for collaborative test design.

  • Exposure to GitHub, JIRA/Confluence, and continuous integration tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.

  • Familiarity with mobile and web testing tools such as Appium or BrowserStack for cross-platform validation.

  • Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and optimization.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate effectively across teams and stakeholders.

Expected Salary

For a QA Automation Tester at NTT DATA in Hyderabad, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹9 LPA to ₹16 LPA, depending on technical expertise, experience with automation frameworks, and proficiency in programming languages like JavaScript or Python. Candidates with experience in enterprise-scale automation and CI/CD integrations may earn toward the higher end of the range, along with attractive benefits and learning opportunities.
