Job Description:
Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is hiring an experienced QA Analyst to join its Technology team in Hyderabad. This in-office opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in functional and manual testing who also possess exposure to automation frameworks. As a QA Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions across multiple releases. Working within Agile environments, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams to validate business requirements and ensure seamless execution of test strategies across web and backend applications.

In this role, you will translate business and system requirements into detailed test scenarios and comprehensive test cases. You will execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and system testing to ensure end-to-end coverage, including positive, negative, and edge-case validations. A key aspect of the position involves validating data accuracy using SQL queries and participating in release validation cycles by providing clear quality sign-offs. Your analytical capabilities and defect management expertise will help identify risks early, contributing to stable, defect-free deployments and optimized release cycles.

Although automation is not the primary responsibility, you will be exposed to automation frameworks such as Java Selenium or Playwright and participate in maintaining automated regression suites. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Analyze detailed business and system requirements and convert them into structured test scenarios and high-quality test cases aligned with release objectives.

2. Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and system testing across web and backend applications to ensure complete coverage and application stability.

3. Validate positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios to maintain robust end-to-end testing coverage.

4. Perform SQL-based data validation to ensure backend database accuracy and transactional integrity during test cycles.

5. Identify, log, and track defects using test management and defect tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.

6. Participate in release validation processes and provide clear go/no-go quality sign-offs based on comprehensive testing outcomes.

7. Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams to clarify requirements and resolve quality issues.

8. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, and Retrospectives to align QA deliverables with sprint goals.

9. Provide regular status updates, highlight risks, and share actionable quality insights to stakeholders and project leadership.

10. Support automation initiatives by maintaining automated test scripts and identifying suitable manual test cases for automation candidacy.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline with strong academic foundations.

2. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Manual and Functional Testing within enterprise-level software environments.

3. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

4. Proven experience in test case design techniques, requirement traceability, and defect life cycle management.

5. Hands-on exposure to test management and defect tracking tools for structured reporting and quality documentation.

6. Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation and backend verification during test execution.

7. Basic to intermediate knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium (Java) or Playwright, with willingness to expand automation skills.

8. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated regression execution processes in modern DevOps environments.

9. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues, testing strategies, and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

10. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Expected Salary:

For a QA Analyst with approximately 5 years of experience in Hyderabad’s financial technology sector, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹9 LPA to ₹16 LPA depending on expertise in functional testing, SQL validation, and exposure to automation frameworks like Selenium or Playwright. Compensation may vary based on domain experience, prior enterprise exposure, and performance during the hiring process.
