Job Description

EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is seeking highly motivated Associate Software Engineers to join its dynamic and collaborative technology teams in Hyderabad. As a DET-Associate Software Engineer, you will be part of EY’s global technology consulting practice, contributing to end-to-end software solutions across multiple domains such as Digital Technologies, Testing Services, Data & Analytics, Oracle, SAP, Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance Transformation, and Cybersecurity.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies like Java, .NET, Python, UI/UX development, cloud-native platforms, AI/ML, Blockchain, and IoT. You will be involved in designing, developing, testing, and supporting innovative solutions that help EY clients drive digital transformation and operational efficiency. As an Associate Software Engineer, you will work in a collaborative, agile environment, gaining hands-on experience with software development tools, databases like SQL, Oracle, Teradata, and participating in projects spanning multiple geographies. Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement software solutions following SDLC and best practices.

• Participate in requirement analysis, design, coding, and documentation for client projects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver digital, cloud-native, and data-driven solutions.

• Assist in software testing, debugging, and resolving technical issues efficiently.

• Apply knowledge of programming languages like Java, .NET, Python to deliver robust solutions.

• Work with databases such as SQL, Oracle, Teradata for data management and analytics.

• Support automation, data integration, and testing activities across multiple projects.

• Demonstrate an agile mindset, ability to multi-task, and adapt to fast-paced project requirements.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose innovative approaches to problem-solving.

• Maintain clear, structured documentation for all technical and functional deliverables.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Education: BE/B.Tech in IT, Computer Science, or related branches (Circuit/Software).

• Academic Performance: Minimum 60% aggregate, no active backlogs.

• Technical Skills: Understanding of SDLC, software development best practices, and one or more programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python.

• Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL, Oracle, Teradata, or other relational databases.

• Internship/Project Experience: Exposure to technology projects or internships in relevant domains is an advantage.

• Behavioral Skills: Adaptive, collaborative, innovative, curious, and detail-oriented.

• Mindset: Agile, proactive, and willing to learn emerging technologies and tools.

Expected Salary

For freshers or entry-level Associate Software Engineers at EY GDS in Hyderabad, the salary range typically falls between ₹4–6 LPA, depending on academic performance, technical skills, and internship experience.
