Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Management

   • Lead and oversee a team of platform engineers.

   • Ensure efficient delivery of high-quality cloud platform solutions.

   • Foster collaboration and positive team dynamics.

2. Technical Guidance & Decision-Making

   • Provide strategic technical leadership on platform architecture, tools, and processes.

   • Balance hands-on development with long-term architectural decisions.

   • Ensure platforms are scalable, secure, and cost-efficient.

3. Mentorship & Skill Development

   • Mentor team members and enhance their technical capabilities.

   • Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

   • Guide engineers in adopting modern cloud practices.

4. Deep Technical Proficiency

   • Apply strong expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), system architecture, and automation.

   • Oversee development of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains.

   • Ensure smooth integration with databases, infrastructure, and middleware (e.g., IBM DB2).

5. Practice Development & Innovation

   • Contribute to building Capgemini’s platform engineering practice.

   • Research and implement emerging cloud trends and tools.

   • Drive standardization, reusability, and efficiency across cloud solutions.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Hands-on expertise with IBM DB2 database systems.

• Proven experience working in Agile software development frameworks.

• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering principles.

• Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor, manage, and motivate teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Proven experience in cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles.

• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP are highly desirable.

Salary Range

• India (Hyderabad): ₹18 LPA – ₹28 LPA depending on experience and certifications.

• Global Average: $110,000 – $140,000 annually for equivalent senior platform engineering roles.
