Job Description

Gainwell Technologies is looking for an experienced Manual Tester with expertise in the US Healthcare domain to join its technology team in India. This role focuses on validating software applications used to support healthcare services and government health programs. As a Manual Tester, you will play an important role in ensuring that healthcare software systems function accurately, reliably, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The position involves performing detailed functional testing, verifying application behavior, and ensuring that systems meet defined business specifications before deployment.

In this role, you will work closely with software developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders to identify system requirements and validate application functionality. The position requires performing structured testing activities including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and regression testing. By analyzing system behavior and validating business workflows, you will help ensure that healthcare applications operate effectively while meeting strict quality standards required in the healthcare industry.

Additionally, the Manual Tester will contribute to maintaining high-quality software delivery by documenting defects, preparing test cases, and supporting integration testing across different system components. The role also requires experience with API testing, database validation, and agile development environments. By leveraging your testing expertise and healthcare domain knowledge, you will help Gainwell Technologies deliver reliable technology solutions that improve healthcare outcomes and support critical services for communities.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed functional testing of healthcare software applications to ensure they meet defined business requirements and technical specifications.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on functional design documents and system requirements.

  • Execute manual testing activities including regression testing, system testing, and integration testing across multiple application modules.

  • Analyze application behavior and validate business workflows used within healthcare systems to ensure accurate processing of healthcare-related transactions.

  • Perform API testing to validate communication between different system components and verify data exchange accuracy.

  • Conduct database testing to verify data integrity, ensure accurate storage and retrieval of information, and validate system responses.

  • Track defects using defect management tools and provide detailed reports that help development teams identify and resolve system issues.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and project managers to clarify requirements and ensure effective test coverage.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of test results, defect reports, and testing progress to support project transparency and quality assurance.

  • Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, backlog discussions, and continuous testing activities.


Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on manual testing and functional validation.

  • Hands-on experience working in the US Healthcare domain with knowledge of healthcare workflows and regulatory standards.

  • Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle including test planning, execution, defect management, and regression testing.

  • Experience in API testing using tools or manual validation methods to ensure proper integration between applications.

  • Knowledge of database testing techniques including SQL queries for validating backend data and system responses.

  • Familiarity with agile testing practices and working in agile development environments such as Scrum or Kanban.

  • Experience with defect tracking systems, configuration management tools, and test documentation frameworks.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills required to identify complex system issues and ensure accurate testing results.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting defects, writing test cases, and collaborating with global teams.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple testing tasks across complex software projects.
