Citi: Ops Tech Engineer Excellence Tester

Job Overview:

As an Ops Tech Engineer Excellence Tester at Citi, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Citi’s financial applications. Your primary responsibility will be to support initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and product rollouts into production. Collaborating closely with technology project managers, UAT professionals, and users, you will design and implement appropriate scripts and plans for application testing strategies.

In this role, you will conduct various quality control user acceptance tests, analyze applications to ensure they meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements, and document the evolution of testing cases for future replication. Your contributions will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and performance of Citi's financial systems.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Support initiatives related to UAT processes and product rollouts into production, ensuring alignment with business requirements and quality standards.

2. Test Script Development: Create and execute test scripts according to application requirements documentation; log defects and retest software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.

3. Quality Assurance: Conduct a variety of quality control user acceptance tests, analyzing applications to ensure they meet or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements.

4. Documentation: Document the evolution of testing cases and scripts for future replication, contributing to the development of test plans.

5. Collaboration: Interface with development teams to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

6. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of testing strategies and methodologies.

7. Compliance: Ensure adherence to Citi's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on application development and testing.

2. Technical Skills:

   • Proficiency in scripting languages and testing tools.

   • Understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies.

   • Familiarity with application development procedures and concepts.

3. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, conducting testing and debugging as necessary.

4. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

5. Problem-Solving: Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.

6. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

Expected Salary:
