Job Description:
Atos is hiring a Test Engineer for its Chennai location to support warehouse management and enterprise integration systems. In this role, you will validate warehouse management workflows, inventory movements, and real-time integrations across distributed enterprise systems. You will leverage automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, and Selenium to build and maintain robust automated test suites. Strong hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman and RestAssured, message queue validation using Kafka or GCP Pub/Sub, and SQL/BigQuery data validation is essential. Additionally, you will conduct performance testing using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or K6 to simulate real warehouse workloads and measure latency across integrated systems.

Beyond technical testing, you will integrate automated test pipelines into CI/CD workflows using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions while working within containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of observability tools such as OpenTelemetry and Grafana will help ensure effective monitoring and QA reporting. The role also values experience in mobile and RF device testing (Honeywell, Zebra) and the use of AI tools to enhance test case generation and automation. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Validate WMS functional flows, inventory processes, and real-time integrations with ERP, TMS, and YMS systems.

2. Develop and maintain automated test suites using Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.

3. Perform API testing using Postman or RestAssured and validate message queue systems like Kafka or GCP Pub/Sub.

4. Execute SQL and BigQuery validations to ensure backend data integrity and consistency.

5. Conduct performance testing using JMeter, Gatling, K6, or LoadRunner to simulate warehouse workloads.

6. Integrate automated test pipelines into CI/CD environments using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

7. Work within containerized test environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

8. Monitor test environments using observability tools such as OpenTelemetry and Grafana.

9. Test mobile and RF-based warehouse applications on devices like Honeywell and Zebra.

10. Utilize AI tools for quality engineering, including test case generation and automation enhancements.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

2. Strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and supply chain integrations.

3. Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.

4. Proficiency in API testing and message queue validation technologies.

5. Experience in SQL-based data validation and cloud data tools like BigQuery.

6. Knowledge of performance testing methodologies and tools.

7. Experience integrating QA processes within CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.

8. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

9. Strong analytical, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement mindset.

10. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional environments.

Expected Salary:

For a Test Engineer with strong WMS, automation, and performance testing expertise in Chennai, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹8 LPA to ₹18 LPA depending on technical depth, CI/CD experience, and leadership exposure.
