Role: Data Engineer
As a Data Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of creating scalable data solutions that support world-class pharmaceutical intelligence. You’ll collaborate with data scientists, visualization teams, and product experts to deliver reliable, production-grade data pipelines.

🎓 Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience writing complex queries and stored procedures.

  • Proficiency in Python, especially for data wrangling, ETL, and automation.

  • Knowledge of AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, MWAA, Step Functions, Secrets Manager).

  • Experience working with large-scale data (structured and unstructured).

  • Prior experience in building and automating data pipelines in production environments.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty)

  • Experience with columnar databases like Redshift, Snowflake, etc.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QuickSight.

  • Previous experience working in the pharmaceutical or healthcare domain.

  • Experience with real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE) pipelines.

💰 Estimated Salary Range

💼 ₹18 LPA – ₹30 LPA (based on experience and skill level)

Responsibilities

Design and optimize upstream database systems (Apache Pinot, Redshift, RDS)

Pull, process, and structure large healthcare datasets (e.g. claims data)

Automate data pipelines using AWS services (Airflow, Lambda, Step Functions)

Work with RWD (Real World Data) teams to develop clean and curated datasets

Productionize data pipelines with monitoring and alerting systems

Collaborate with product and visualization teams to iterate on data-driven products

Use Norstella's Data Acquisition Framework (DAF) to ingest and manage external datasets

Publish and synchronize data across Norstella's Data Platform (NDP)
