Job Description

Quest Global is hiring an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join its high-performing engineering team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be a key contributor within a cross-functional Scrum team, ensuring software products are thoroughly tested and meet the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with product owners, developers, and R&D teams to design test strategies, automate complex workflows, and ensure product reliability across all stages of development.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional Scrum teams to deliver quality software through manual and automated testing.

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks, harnesses, and libraries for scalable and reusable testing.

• Build and execute test suites for regression testing and new feature validation across UI, API, and database layers.

• Provide technical inputs during feature development, ensuring accurate system behavior and robust test coverage.

• Configure and install testing environments with the latest software deliveries to support quality assurance cycles.

• Automate deployment and data generation processes to improve efficiency and reduce testing cycle times.

• Perform API automation testing using RestAssured, JMeter, and Karate frameworks to validate backend functionality.

• Interface with R&D, support, and services teams to analyze and resolve product issues effectively.

• Conduct test result analysis, provide detailed defect reports, and collaborate with developers for timely fixes.

• Monitor QA effectiveness, apply continuous improvements, and adopt AI tools for modern testing practices.

• Provide guidance on effort estimation, scheduling, and project scope definition for QA activities.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer with expertise in designing test automation frameworks and solutions.

• Strong proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation and in-depth knowledge of testing methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with API automation tools such as RestAssured, JMeter, and Karate.

• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages like Java, Python, SQL, and Shell scripting.

• Practical knowledge of version control tools such as Git for collaborative development.

• Ability to write complex SQL queries and work with relational databases as well as cloud-based systems.

• Strong understanding of test infrastructure setup and automation in a CI/CD environment.

• Exposure to AI tools in testing, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and performance testing methodologies.

• Excellent communication, consulting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.

Expected Salary

For a QA Automation Engineer in Bengaluru, the average salary ranges between ₹8 LPA to ₹15 LPA, depending on experience, technical expertise, and project exposure. Candidates with advanced automation frameworks, cloud testing, and API expertise may earn at the higher end of the scale.
