Job Description

Precisely is seeking a committed Associate Support Engineer to strengthen its customer-facing support team in Bengaluru. As part of this role, you'll offer first-level technical assistance for Precisely’s portfolio of data integrity products. Your primary function is to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve customer issues via telephone and email, ensuring professional service aligned with SLAs. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about helping others and building solutions across diverse technical domains.

In this hybrid setup, you will manage and own customer support cases from initiation through resolution, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders like development, pre-sales, and product management. By verifying diagnostics, escalating issues when needed, and providing thorough support, you'll ensure customer satisfaction and help maintain Precisely’s standards of excellence and reliability in technical support.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Receive and manage technical inquiries from English-speaking customers via calls and emails, logging support cases meticulously.

  2. Own customer issues end-to-end by gathering diagnostic data, analyzing root cause, and following up per SLAs.

  3. Escalate unresolved issues internally in a timely manner and coordinate resolution efforts.

  4. Keep customers informed with clear, professional communication on issue status and resolution steps.

  5. Assist pre-sales and services teams with product demonstrations, installations, and upgrades—remotely and efficiently.

  6. Partner with development and product management to test and resolve product-related bugs, features, or enhancement requests.

  7. Author and review knowledge base entries, FAQs, and documentation to aid internal teams and customers.

  8. Collaborate with support teams across regions—EMEA, APAC, and the US—to drive consistent service delivery.

  9. Demonstrate continuous learning by supporting additional products/technologies and expanding your expertise.

  10. Provide support in varied shifts (including night shifts) as business needs dictate.


Requirements & Eligibility

  1. Education: A degree (or equivalent) from a recognized academic institution.

  2. Tech Fluency: Comfortable working with computers—desktops or laptops—as a basic requirement.

  3. Learning Orientation: Demonstrates self-study abilities and eagerness to learn through hands-on experience.

  4. Communication: Strong oral and written English skills, especially in a customer service context.

  5. Customer-focused Attitude: A service-minded personality committed to helping others.

  6. Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and work toward resolution.

  7. Ethical Standards: Demonstrates professionalism and ethical behavior aligned to Precisely values.

  8. Domain Exposure: Basic technical understanding across operating systems (Linux/Unix/AS400/AIX/Mainframe), databases (Oracle, MS SQL), and cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, SAP).

  9. Coding Knowledge: Familiarity with programming languages like Java, C, C++, C#, or Python.

  10. Bonus Skills: Networking/security knowledge and exposure to tools like Sterling B2B Integrator or Sterling File Gateway strongly advantageous.


Expected Salary
