In this position, you will perform end-to-end testing across treasury modules such as FX, Money Market (MM), derivatives, and payment systems. You will work closely with business analysts, developers, and operations teams to design effective testing strategies and validate system functionality across multiple integration points. The role also involves performing SQL-based data validation, verifying file-based processing flows, and ensuring that batch and ETL processes function correctly within the overall financial ecosystem.

The role offers opportunities to work with both manual and automated testing frameworks. You will develop test cases, maintain traceability matrices, manage defect lifecycles, and support SIT/UAT testing phases. With exposure to automation tools such as Selenium and API testing platforms, you will contribute to building robust test automation frameworks while ensuring that financial applications maintain high performance, accuracy, and reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Perform System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate end-to-end functionality of deposit and treasury systems.

  2. Test financial modules including FX, Money Market, derivatives, cash management, payments, and SWIFT messaging workflows.

  3. Validate reconciliation processes including trade matching, cash reconciliation, position reconciliation, and exception handling.

  4. Execute regression test cycles to ensure application stability after system updates or enhancements.

  5. Perform SQL-based data validation to verify database accuracy and ensure data consistency across systems.

  6. Validate file ingestion processes involving formats such as XML, CSV, and JSON along with batch processing workflows.

  7. Prepare detailed test documentation including test cases, requirement traceability matrices (RTM), defect logs, and testing metrics.

  8. Collaborate with business, development, and operations teams to clarify requirements and resolve defects efficiently.

  9. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Java, or API testing frameworks when applicable.

  10. Support CI/CD integration for automated testing processes and ensure quality validation throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements & Eligibility:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  2. Strong domain knowledge of treasury systems including trade lifecycle management, settlements, and reconciliation processes.

  3. Hands-on experience with SQL for performing data validation and database testing activities.

  4. Experience testing financial messaging standards such as SWIFT MT and MX messages.

  5. Understanding of ETL processes, batch jobs, and upstream/downstream data integration flows.

  6. Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured for validating service integrations.

  7. Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium with Java, Karate, or Playwright frameworks.

  8. Knowledge of financial platforms such as Murex, Calypso, SmartStream TLM, Finastra Fusion, or Oracle Treasury is advantageous.

  9. Understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka or MQ is beneficial.

  10. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Expected Salary:

For a Test Analyst specializing in manual and automation testing within banking and treasury systems in Bangalore, the typical salary range generally falls between ₹8 LPA to ₹16 LPA depending on expertise in financial domain testing, SQL validation, and automation frameworks.
