Job Description:

Infosys Limited is seeking an experienced Python Automation Network Tester to join its Engineering Services team in Bangalore. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in networking concepts, network security, and automation frameworks. As a Network Automation Tester, you will be responsible for validating complex network infrastructures, ensuring secure deployments, and automating testing processes for platform-based products. Your work will directly support large-scale enterprise environments by strengthening network performance, resilience, and cybersecurity posture.

In this role, you will apply your strong understanding of OSI layers, network security concepts, firewalls, IPS systems, routers, and switches to design effective automation test strategies. Leveraging Python for automation, you will develop scripts to simulate real-world network conditions and validate secure configurations. Exposure to traffic generator tools and performance testing will help you assess system throughput, latency, and reliability. Your contributions will ensure seamless integration of secure network designs within enterprise infrastructure environments.

Beyond technical execution, this position demands strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills. Working within Agile environments, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify network vulnerabilities, optimize firewall policies, and enhance VPN security mechanisms. By combining automation expertise with deep networking knowledge, you will help Infosys deliver robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions to global clients.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design and execute automated test scripts using Python to validate network devices, security configurations, and infrastructure performance.

2. Perform end-to-end network testing across routers, switches, firewalls, IPS, and VPN systems to ensure secure and stable deployments.

3. Analyze networking protocols across OSI layers to identify vulnerabilities, configuration issues, and performance bottlenecks.

4. Utilize traffic generator tools to simulate real-time network loads and measure system scalability, throughput, and response times.

5. Debug and troubleshoot network and operating system issues to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

6. Validate firewall rules, network security policies, and secure network architecture implementations.

7. Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to support continuous integration and deployment processes.

8. Contribute to Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

9. Document test cases, performance reports, defect logs, and security validation findings for stakeholder review.

10. Continuously enhance automation frameworks and adopt best practices in network testing and infrastructure security.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline with strong academic foundations.

2. 7–10 years of experience in networking and automation testing, preferably in enterprise or telecom environments.

3. Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including OSI layers, TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network security principles.

4. Hands-on experience with firewall systems, IPS, VPN technologies, routers, and switches in secure network deployments.

5. Proficiency in Python programming for automation, scripting, and test framework development.

6. Experience using traffic generator tools and performance testing methodologies for validating network infrastructure.

7. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex network and OS-level issues efficiently.

8. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative project management practices.

9. Knowledge of infrastructure security concepts and secure network architecture design best practices.

10. Excellent communication skills to articulate technical findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
