Job Description

HP is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Azure Data Engineer to join its dynamic team in Chennai. This role is centered around managing the full data pipeline lifecycle—from data collection and cleansing to preprocessing, transformation, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SQL, PySpark, Azure Databricks, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

As an Azure Data Engineer, you will empower cross-functional teams by delivering actionable insights that drive operational efficiency and strategic growth. Your work will directly influence decision-making through the development of scalable dashboards, data pipelines, and reporting systems. You will also mentor junior engineers, contribute to innovation, and lead moderately complex data projects with a focus on performance optimization and business impact.

🎓 Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related fields.

  • 5–8 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer (or 3–5 years with an advanced degree).

  • Strong background in database management, data architecture, and statistical analysis.

💰 Estimated Salary Range

  • Monthly Salary: ₹1,00,000 – ₹1,60,000

  • Annual CTC: ₹12 LPA – ₹20 LPA

Responsibilities

Design and execute scalable data science projects to generate insights and business value.

Build, automate, and maintain efficient data pipelines and ETL workflows on Azure.

Perform data cleaning, transformation, aggregation, and validation for large-scale datasets.

Develop dashboards and visual reports using Power BI and Tableau to support data storytelling.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver accurate solutions.

Lead the development of data models and data quality frameworks to support analytics.

Conduct experiments and validations in collaboration with internal/external stakeholders.

Produce high-quality technical documentation and deliverables including reports and publications.

Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on best practices and methodologies.

Contribute to patent applications, white papers, and participate in industry conferences.
