Job Description

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is hiring Graduate Software Engineers to join its Cloud Engineering organization. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who want to build cloud-native, scalable, and secure applications that power mission-critical systems for global enterprises.

As a Graduate Software Engineer, you will work as part of a collaborative engineering team to design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-based solutions across edge-to-cloud environments. You’ll apply strong software fundamentals, modern DevOps practices, and a security-first mindset while learning from experienced engineers in a flexible, inclusive, and innovation-driven culture.

This role offers the opportunity to work remotely, gain exposure to distributed systems, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines, and grow rapidly within HPE’s global engineering ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain cloud application modules aligned with feature and security requirements.

• Design, execute, and automate test plans and test cases for assigned components.

• Deploy code, debug issues, and contribute to continuous improvements across the SDLC.

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, technical writers, and managers to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Analyze engineering, business, and system-level problems to design effective software solutions.

• Share innovative technical ideas and participate in peer reviews and technical discussions.

• Support deployment, monitoring, and operational readiness of cloud services.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field.

• Master’s degree is desirable but not mandatory.

• 0–2 years of professional or internship experience in software development.

Required Skills

• Programming skills in Python, Java, Golang, or JavaScript.

• Understanding of basic coding, testing, and debugging practices.

• Familiarity with DevOps concepts, including CI/CD pipelines.

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively in a team environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Good to Have / Additional Skills

• Exposure to cloud architectures and distributed systems.

• Knowledge of microservices and full-stack development concepts.

• Understanding of DevOps, release management, and automation practices.

• Security-first mindset and awareness of secure coding principles.

• Interest in UX, design thinking, and scalable system design.
