🔍 Role Overview

As the Business Analyst (Assistant Manager level) for DC to Store Transportation Operations, you will act as a critical link between supply chain teams and transportation systems, ensuring goods move efficiently from vendors to stores—and even directly to homes. This is a key opportunity to drive real impact in logistics efficiency, cost optimization, and AI-driven decision-making.

📌 Key Responsibilities

🛠 Transportation Operations:

• Plan and coordinate transportation from vendors to DCs and stores.

• Oversee execution of delivery plans to ensure on-time, cost-efficient shipments.

• Manage Ship to Home operations and ensure Track & Trace visibility.

• Handle Distribution Center appointments, yard management, and exception handling.

🗺 Route Optimization:

• Analyze and optimize routes to reduce delivery times and minimize costs.

• Collaborate with logistics partners and leverage TMS platforms.

🚛 Carrier Management:

• Manage vendor and carrier relationships.

• Support RFPs and negotiate SLAs, contracts, and cost structures.

📜 Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure adherence to transportation regulations and safety standards.

• Maintain accurate documentation including bills of lading, shipping manifests, and audit records.

🤝 Vendor & Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with external vendors and internal teams (supply chain, DC, stores).

• Drive communication across departments to improve process integration.

📊 Reporting & Analysis:

• Generate dashboards and reports on logistics KPIs.

• Analyze trends, issues, and propose data-driven improvements.

🎓 Qualifications

✅ Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

• Relevant experience in DC-to-Store transportation operations.

• Strong negotiation, stakeholder communication, and coordination skills.

🌟 Preferred Skills:

• Experience in US/NA retail logistics operations.

• Strong grasp of TMS, EDI, freight optimization, and cost control.

• Familiarity with transportation regulations and compliance practices.

• Knowledge of performance metrics (detention, accessorial charges, etc.).

• Experience managing logistics KPIs, exceptions, and automation workflows.
