Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Automation QA Engineer (Python) to join our Bengaluru team, focusing on complex, data-driven systems in the financial services domain. In this role, you will be at the forefront of testing mission-critical applications, ensuring smooth data migration, system accuracy, and software reliability. You will collaborate with data engineers, developers, and business analysts across global teams, contributing to seamless integration and migration projects from on-premise environments to cloud platforms.

This position is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in data testing, Oracle-to-Cloud migrations, regression testing, and Python-based automation scripting. The work involves designing end-to-end test strategies, building test utilities, and validating complex data pipelines to maintain high levels of performance and trust in financial applications. As a senior QA engineer, you will also play a crucial role in improving QA processes, ensuring test traceability, and proactively identifying system gaps. Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and execute comprehensive end-to-end testing plans, including functional, regression, unit, and back-to-back testing.

• Design robust test strategies for data migration projects, focusing heavily on Oracle-to-Cloud transitions.

• Validate data accuracy and transformation logic across multiple environments and platforms.

• Write and maintain Python-based automated test scripts and utilities for continuous validation.

• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, collaborating with cross-functional global teams.

• Identify, log, and track defects, inconsistencies, and process improvements with precision.

• Contribute to the CI/CD pipeline integration and continuous testing frameworks.

• Ensure complete traceability between requirements, test cases, and delivered code.

• Support business-critical applications by proactively addressing potential risks before rollout.

• Provide insights and recommendations to improve testing efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements & Eligibility

• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation with strong expertise in data testing.

• Proven experience in data migration validation, particularly Oracle-to-Cloud transformation projects.

• Proficiency in Python scripting, with ability to build automation frameworks and testing utilities.

• Strong background in regression testing, back-to-back testing, and functional validation.

• Experience in unit testing, ensuring accuracy at the component level.

• Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.

• Familiarity with Agile development environments and cross-functional teamwork.

• Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication skills in English (B1 or above) for effective collaboration with global teams.

• Added advantage if experienced with Snowflake, DBT (Data Build Tool), or advanced Python development.

Expected Salary

For a Senior Automation QA (Python) role in Bengaluru with 7+ years of experience, the salary typically falls in the range of ₹15 LPA to ₹24 LPA.
