Job Description

Apple is hiring a Junior Software Developer in Test to join its Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team in Bengaluru. Automation, performance testing, and continuous integration will be key focus areas as you help drive quality across the entire application lifecycle.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Build and maintain QE test plans, strategies, and test cases for applications and features.

• Collaborate with developers, BPR teams, and project stakeholders to execute test plans efficiently.

• Perform automation, performance, and code quality testing using modern tools and frameworks.

• Execute functional, system, integration, and exploratory testing across platforms.

• Validate UI (web and mobile), API/web services, and database workflows.

• Utilize CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and quality validation.

• Provide timely and accurate testing status, progress reports, and final test summaries.

• Work effectively in Agile environments while handling multiple tasks and priorities.

• Apply analytical thinking to identify risks, defects, and improvement opportunities.

• Contribute to improving QE processes, frameworks, and metrics.

Requirements & Eligibility

• 1–2 years of experience in Software Development Engineer in Test or Quality Engineering roles.

• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript programming languages.

• Hands-on exposure to automation and testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber-JVM, Appium, Postman, SOAPUI, and JMeter.

• Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins and code quality platforms like SonarQube.

• Exposure to GenAI models or AI-based solutions for coding or testing tasks.

• Strong understanding of test strategy creation, scenarios, and test case design.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Expected Salary

For a Junior Software Developer in Test at Apple in Bengaluru, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹8 LPA to ₹14 LPA, depending on technical skills, automation expertise, and prior experience.
