NTT DATA is hiring Java Developers (Freshers) to join its Banking Domain technology team in Bangalore. As a Fresher Java Developer, you will work alongside experienced software engineers to develop, enhance, and maintain banking applications that support critical financial operations. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based banking applications that support critical financial operations while ensuring scalability, reliability, and high application performance.
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable Java code by following coding standards, software engineering best practices, and organizational development guidelines.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing application maintenance.
  • Debug software defects, investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to improve application stability and performance.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services that enable seamless communication between banking applications, databases, and external systems.
  • Work with relational databases such as Oracle and MySQL by writing SQL queries, managing data operations, and supporting database-driven application functionality.
  • Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, quality assurance engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure successful and timely project delivery.
  • Follow banking industry security standards, coding guidelines, compliance requirements, and software quality practices throughout the development process.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, sprint planning sessions, and Agile development activities to improve software quality and team productivity.
  • Continuously learn emerging Java technologies, development frameworks, enterprise tools, and banking domain concepts to enhance technical expertise and career growth.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline from a recognized university.
  • Good understanding of Core Java, including object-oriented programming (OOP), inheritance, polymorphism, collections framework, exception handling, multithreading basics, and Java fundamentals.
  • Basic knowledge of Spring Boot and Hibernate, including dependency injection, ORM concepts, and enterprise Java application development.
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational database management systems such as Oracle or MySQL, including writing queries and understanding database relationships.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, web services, JSON, and backend integration concepts required for modern enterprise applications.
  • Working knowledge of Git or other version control systems, including source code management, collaboration workflows, and repository management.
  • Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, debugging capabilities, and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop efficient software solutions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within cross-functional project teams.
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum development methodologies, software engineering projects, or Java development internships will be considered an added advantage.
  • Basic understanding of banking concepts such as accounts, payments, loans, transactions, or financial systems is desirable but not mandatory for fresh graduates.
