Job Description:

Amazon is hiring a Business Analyst for its IN Stores team under the Finance organization in Bangalore. This role is part of the Consumer Insights, Planning, Analysis, and Technology (IPAT) team, which plays a critical role in driving strategic decision-making across Amazon India. As a Business Analyst, you will work closely with senior leadership, including the India CFO’s office, to deliver actionable insights, performance metrics, and analytical solutions. This is a high-impact role where your analysis directly influences business strategies, operational efficiency, and customer-centric innovations.

In this position, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that help business teams make informed decisions. You will leverage tools like SQL, Excel, QuickSight, and Tableau to analyze large datasets and transform raw data into meaningful insights. The role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex datasets to answer business-critical questions. Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve reports, dashboards, and metrics that support business teams in making data-driven decisions. Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of insights.
  • Analyze large datasets using SQL, Excel, and other tools to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive business performance.
  • Convert complex data into easy-to-understand business intelligence using visualization tools such as Tableau or QuickSight.
  • Develop and deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports such as topline metrics, daily sales reports, and critical business dashboards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders to align reporting frameworks and leverage global tools for local business needs.
  • Dive deep into business problems, identify root causes, and provide data-backed recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure high accuracy and consistency in reporting, as these metrics are critical for strategic decision-making.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Contribute to process improvements by simplifying workflows, automating reporting tasks, and enhancing data efficiency.
  • Communicate insights effectively to stakeholders through clear reports, presentations, and data visualizations.

Requirements & Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related analytical field.
  • 1+ years of experience in finance, analytics, or a related domain, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including experience with complex formulas, data analysis, and VBA macros.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL or ETL processes for querying and managing large datasets.
  • Experience in defining business requirements and translating data into meaningful insights.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Amazon QuickSight is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform deep-dive analysis to solve business problems.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to present insights and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
