Lenovo is hiring a Junior Automation Engineer to join its Information Technology team in Bangalore. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of enterprise systems, particularly within the ServiceNow ecosystem, by implementing automated testing strategies and supporting software validation processes.
The position involves designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF). The engineer will support functional and regression testing across various ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, and HRSD. By working closely with QA leads, developers, and product teams, the candidate will ensure that all testing activities align with business requirements and quality standards. This role provides exposure to enterprise-grade platforms and modern testing methodologies in a fast-paced Agile environment.
In addition to technical responsibilities, the role emphasizes continuous learning, collaboration, and process improvement. The Junior Automation Engineer will participate in sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, and testing cycles while maintaining automation suites and analyzing test results. Roles & Responsibilities

Design and develop automated test scripts using ServiceNow ATF to ensure application quality and reliability.

Execute functional and regression testing across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, and HRSD.

Maintain and update automation test suites as applications evolve and new features are introduced.

Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.

Work closely with QA leads to understand requirements and convert them into effective test cases and automation tasks.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and backlog reviews.

Ensure all testing activities align with quality standards, timelines, and project goals.

Document test cases, automation scripts, and testing results for future reference and compliance.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate system functionality from an end-user perspective.

Continuously improve testing processes and adopt new tools and technologies to enhance automation efficiency.
Requirements & Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related engineering fields.

Basic understanding of software testing concepts including functional testing, regression testing, and UAT.

Knowledge of JavaScript or any scripting language for automation purposes.

Familiarity with ServiceNow platform through coursework, certification, or training.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve defects.

Basic understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and web technologies is an added advantage.

Good communication skills for documentation and collaboration with teams.
