Zensar Technologies is seeking an experienced Automation Testing SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join its advanced engineering team in Bangalore. The Automation Testing SDET will be responsible for developing scalable automation solutions and integrating them into modern software development lifecycles. The role requires deep expertise in automation frameworks, programming, and continuous integration pipelines. Working closely with development, DevOps, and product teams, the SDET will contribute to building automated testing ecosystems that support high-quality releases. The position involves ensuring comprehensive test coverage across applications, improving regression testing efficiency, and supporting continuous delivery practices.

The SDET will guide teams in adopting automation best practices, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation in testing methodologies. Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks for enterprise applications, ensuring high-quality and reliable software delivery.

2. Develop automated test scripts for web, API, and backend systems to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

3. Integrate automated testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster release cycles.

4. Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure seamless integration of testing within the software development lifecycle.

5. Perform regression testing, performance testing, and system validation to ensure application stability and scalability.

6. Identify and resolve defects, performance issues, and system bottlenecks through detailed testing and analysis.

7. Establish best practices for test automation, code quality, and testing methodologies across teams.

8. Mentor and guide junior QA engineers and SDETs to improve technical capabilities and testing practices.

9. Develop and maintain documentation for automation frameworks, test cases, and testing processes.

10. Continuously evaluate new testing tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve testing efficiency and innovation.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

2. 15 to 25 years of experience in software testing with strong expertise in automation testing and SDET roles.

3. Extensive experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks for web, API, and enterprise applications.

4. Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or similar languages used in automation testing.

5. Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and DevOps practices.

6. Experience with performance testing, load testing, and system validation tools.

7. Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle processes.

8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.

9. Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide teams and drive automation initiatives.

10. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Expected Salary

The typical salary for a senior-level Automation Testing SDET with 15–25 years of experience in India generally ranges between ₹35 LPA to ₹70 LPA, depending on expertise in automation frameworks, leadership experience, and enterprise-scale project exposure.
