Job Description

EY is looking for a talented QA Senior Tester to join its Global Delivery Services (GDS) Assurance Digital team in Pune. EY’s Assurance Digital division focuses on developing advanced technology solutions that support audit processes, data analytics, and digital transformation initiatives for global clients. In this role, the QA Senior professional will contribute to building scalable testing frameworks and ensuring the reliability and performance of enterprise applications. The position offers the opportunity to work with innovative technologies including cloud computing, big data platforms, and advanced analytics tools that support audit and assurance services worldwide.

As part of the GDS Assurance Digital team, the QA Senior Tester will collaborate closely with developers, solution architects, and audit technology specialists to deliver high-quality software products. The role involves designing and implementing automation testing strategies, developing automated test frameworks, and ensuring seamless integration of testing processes within the software development lifecycle. The professional will validate application functionality, APIs, and data workflows while ensuring that complex regulatory and business requirements are met with accuracy and reliability.

This role also emphasizes innovation, problem-solving, and continuous learning. The QA Senior Tester will participate in research and development initiatives, contribute to proof-of-concept projects, and explore emerging technologies such as cloud platforms, data analytics tools, and automation frameworks. By working on globally scalable solutions and collaborating with EY’s international teams, the professional will gain exposure to advanced digital transformation projects that enhance operational efficiency and support clients in meeting complex regulatory requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design and implement robust test automation strategies and frameworks that ensure efficient testing processes across enterprise applications.

2. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and other automation frameworks for functional and regression testing.

3. Collaborate with software development teams to create continuous testing environments that improve application testability and deployment efficiency.

4. Perform functional, integration, and regression testing to ensure that applications meet business and technical requirements.

5. Validate REST and SOAP-based APIs using testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI to ensure reliable communication between application components.

6. Analyze application logs, data flows, and system behavior to identify defects and ensure application stability.

7. Work with SQL databases to validate data accuracy and perform backend testing across complex enterprise systems.

8. Develop scripts and automation utilities using Python and data analysis tools such as Pandas for test data validation and analysis.

9. Participate in Agile development cycles, contributing to sprint planning, test case creation, and collaborative problem solving.

10. Maintain documentation of test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports to ensure traceability and knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

2. 4 to 7 years of professional experience in software testing with strong expertise in automation testing strategies and frameworks.

3. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Postman, SoapUI, or other modern testing frameworks.

4. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test lifecycle processes, and best practices in software quality assurance.

5. Knowledge of REST and SOAP web services, including testing APIs that use JSON, XML, and HTTP protocols.

6. Experience working with SQL databases for data validation and backend testing within enterprise applications.

7. Familiarity with Unix scripting, Git version control, and messaging middleware technologies.

8. Experience with ETL frameworks and data processing techniques used in data-intensive applications.

9. Programming knowledge in Python, particularly using libraries such as Pandas for data analysis and automation tasks.

10. Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within Agile development environments.

The typical salary for a QA Senior Tester with 4–7 years of experience in India generally ranges between ₹12 LPA to ₹22 LPA, depending on expertise in automation frameworks, API testing, and enterprise software development environments.
