Job Description

Fortive’s ServiceChannel division is looking for a Manual QA Tester Engineer to join its quality assurance team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of ServiceChannel’s enterprise software platform through detailed manual testing processes. ServiceChannel provides facility management solutions used by global brands across retail, banking, healthcare, and hospitality industries. As a QA Tester, you will play a key role in validating software features, ensuring seamless functionality across web and mobile platforms, and delivering high-quality releases to customers.

The position involves analyzing product requirements, designing comprehensive test plans, and executing test cases across multiple environments. You will validate functionality, user interfaces, integrations, and performance by conducting different testing approaches such as regression testing, exploratory testing, usability testing, and integration testing. Your work will help identify defects early in the development cycle, ensuring that issues are documented clearly and resolved before production deployment.

Additionally, the Manual QA Tester will work closely with Agile development teams, including developers, product managers, and UX designers, to ensure that software releases meet business requirements and customer expectations. The role also involves improving testing strategies, refining QA processes, and identifying opportunities to enhance testing efficiency. By contributing to continuous quality improvements, you will help ensure that ServiceChannel’s SaaS platform delivers reliable and scalable solutions to global enterprise customers.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyze functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to determine test coverage and testing strategies.

• Design detailed test plans, test cases, and testing scenarios covering functional, regression, integration, usability, and exploratory testing.

• Execute manual test cases across web and mobile platforms to verify software functionality and performance.

• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and unexpected defects within applications.

• Detect, document, and track software defects with clear reproduction steps, severity levels, and supporting evidence.

• Retest resolved issues and verify that bug fixes are implemented correctly without affecting other system components.

• Design and execute regression testing suites to ensure product stability after new feature deployments.

• Participate in Agile development ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to improve product quality and user experience.

• Provide detailed testing reports, including coverage metrics, defect trends, and risk analysis to project stakeholders.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in manual software testing across web or mobile application environments.

• Strong experience designing and executing test cases, test scenarios, and regression testing suites.

• Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla and test management platforms like TestRail.

• Basic knowledge of SQL databases for validating backend data during testing activities.

• Experience using tools such as Postman for API request validation and basic API testing.

• Strong understanding of software testing techniques including black-box testing, boundary-value testing, smoke testing, sanity testing, and usability testing.

• Proficiency in exploratory testing and UI/UX validation techniques to ensure optimal user experience.

• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills for identifying system defects.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively within Agile development teams.

Expected Salary

The typical salary for a Manual QA Tester or QA Engineer with 3+ years of experience in SaaS or enterprise software companies in India generally ranges between ₹8 LPA to ₹16 LPA, depending on experience, testing expertise, and familiarity with Agile development environments. Professionals with additional skills in API testing, database validation, and SaaS product testing may receive higher compensation packages along with performance-based incentives.
