Job Description:
Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited is seeking an experienced QA Engineer (Manual & Automation) to join its Hyderabad team. This role is designed for professionals with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in software testing across web, mobile, and API platforms. API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI will be a key responsibility, ensuring accurate validation of endpoints, response structures, and error handling mechanisms. Additionally, you will leverage SQL queries to validate backend data integrity and database consistency. Your work will directly contribute to improving system reliability, enhancing test coverage, and accelerating release cycles within Agile environments.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases for web and mobile applications, ensuring functional accuracy and alignment with business requirements.

2. Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or SoapUI to validate REST and SOAP endpoints, response structures, and error-handling workflows.

3. Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to guarantee application stability, performance, and seamless system interactions.

4. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Tosca, ensuring scalable and repeatable automation coverage across releases.

5. Execute SQL queries to validate backend data, verify database integrity, and support data-driven testing during test cycles.

6. Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps, ensuring timely resolution and retesting of bug fixes.

7. Review requirement documents, technical specifications, and design artifacts to provide proactive quality feedback during early development stages.

8. Participate in sprint planning, test estimation, and progress reporting to ensure testing milestones align with project timelines.

9. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration efforts, enhancing automated test execution within Jenkins or Azure DevOps environments.

10. Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, automation frameworks, and quality standards within Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. 3–4 years of professional experience in software testing, covering both manual and automation testing across web and API platforms.

2. Strong hands-on expertise in manual testing methodologies, including functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing.

3. Proven experience in API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or equivalent tools for validating RESTful and SOAP services.

4. Hands-on automation testing experience using Selenium or Tosca (mandatory), with Playwright and Python scripting as a valuable advantage.

5. Ability to write and execute SQL queries for validating database transactions and backend data accuracy.

6. Experience using defect tracking and project management tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps for efficient bug lifecycle management.

7. Strong documentation skills for preparing test cases, execution reports, defect logs, and quality metrics.

8. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation integration within tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

9. Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience collaborating within cross-functional development teams.

10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Expected Salary:

For a QA Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in Hyderabad, the expected salary typically ranges between ₹6 LPA to ₹11 LPA, depending on expertise in automation tools such as Selenium or Tosca, API testing proficiency, and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
