Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing advanced statistical models, predictive algorithms, and machine learning solutions that improve data quality and analytical performance.

• Manage end-to-end data workflows, including data acquisition, cleaning, transformation, and analysis to support LSEG’s global data products.

• Collaborate with internal teams to define business requirements and translate them into efficient, scalable data science solutions.

• Build automated systems for sourcing and loading large datasets into analytical environments and databases.

• Conduct data analysis on financial and legal entity data to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.

• Develop tools and scripts using Python and related libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) for data manipulation and visualization.

• Support implementation of machine learning and AI-based enhancements across key business processes.

• Create data visualizations, dashboards, and prototypes to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Participate in testing, validation, and optimization of analytics tools and solutions before deployment.

• Document analytical processes, workflows, and methodologies to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across teams.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and product teams for integration and deployment of developed models into production.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Strong programming skills in Python, with solid knowledge of libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.

• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, and understanding of model training pipelines.

• Hands-on experience or academic exposure to machine learning, AI, and agentic LLM/SLM models.

• Sound understanding of SQL and relational databases, along with knowledge of REST APIs, Docker, or Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in data processing, web scraping (HTML/CSS), and data visualization tools.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills with attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills—ability to narrate data stories clearly to technical and business audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining ownership of assigned tasks.

• Certification in Data Science or AI/ML will be considered an added advantage.

• Prior project or internship experience in financial data analytics will be a strong plus.
