Role Overview
The Business Analyst will play a key role in executing the Morningstar Index technology roadmap, driving operational excellence and product innovation. You will collaborate with product owners, data engineers, and developers to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions. This position offers exposure to financial data analytics, portfolio modeling, and agile product development, making it ideal for professionals looking to grow in FinTech and data-driven product management.
Key Responsibilities

Support execution of the technology roadmap from requirement gathering through the complete software development lifecycle.

Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that drive business and technology decisions.

Collaborate with product owners and engineering teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of new features and enhancements.

Create and maintain dashboards (Tableau/Power BI) to visualize KPIs and track platform performance.

Participate in UAT testing to validate upcoming product releases and system improvements.

Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.

Present findings and insights to stakeholders across multiple organizational levels.

Support agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and stand-ups within the Agile software development framework.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline).

0–2+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Management, or related domains.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and relational databases (preferred).

Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.

Passion for investments and financial products such as equities, ETFs, and indexes (preferred).
