Techno Functional Analyst

About the Role

Qualitest Group is seeking an experienced Techno Functional Analyst with strong expertise in mobile testing, Playwright automation (Python/Java/JavaScript), and CI/CD integration. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for both UI and API testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

This position is ideal for candidates who are hands-on with automation frameworks, comfortable with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools like GitLab and Jenkins, and passionate about building scalable, efficient, and reliable automation solutions. You will also act as a mentor, guiding junior automation engineers while driving continuous improvement in test strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.

• Perform mobile testing using industry best practices, ensuring coverage for multiple devices and platforms.

• Implement and execute automated test cases for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins) to enable seamless, automated deployments.

• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria.

• Analyze and document test results, report defects, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.

• Continuously improve automation processes, frameworks, and test coverage to maximize efficiency.

• Stay updated on emerging tools, frameworks, and trends in test automation and adopt them where applicable.

• Mentor and guide junior team members, promoting best practices in automation and quality engineering.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications

• 4/5+ years of experience in automation testing (UI and API).

• Strong experience with Playwright (Python/Java/JavaScript).

• Expertise in mobile testing (manual + automated).

• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins).

• Proficiency in designing automation frameworks from scratch and maintaining existing ones.

• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.

• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.

• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud-based test execution platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).

• Exposure to API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for test environments.

Salary Range

The typical salary for a Techno Functional Analyst at Qualitest India ranges between ₹10 LPA – ₹18 LPA, depending on experience and technical expertise.
