Job Description

JPMorgan Chase is looking for a Data Analytics (SQL & Python) Associate to join its Corporate & Investment Banking – Global Finance and Business Management team. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Define, monitor, and report key management metrics to ensure smooth execution of regulatory and operational programs.

  • Build and manage dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions, ensuring accuracy and consistency in high-volume data environments.

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that drive efficiency, quality improvements, and cost optimization initiatives.

  • Lead data-driven strategic initiatives with strong project management discipline, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple systems to create meaningful analytics that support decision-making.

  • Collaborate with IT teams, business owners, and data management groups to improve data processes and enhance reporting capabilities.

  • Conduct root-cause analysis on data issues and provide solutions to improve system reliability and consistency.

  • Create scalable and repeatable analytics solutions that meet long-term business needs and support future automation.

  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analytics support for critical business questions, enabling leaders to make informed decisions.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and data governance best practices.

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in SQL and Python with hands-on experience in data extraction, cleaning, and transformation.

  • Data Visualization: Knowledge of tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, or Power BI for building dashboards and reports.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down business problems, analyze data trends, and propose actionable solutions.

  • Cloud Knowledge: Exposure to AWS Redshift, Databricks, or other distributed systems is a plus.

  • Project Management: Familiarity with Jira and Agile methodologies to manage reporting and analytics initiatives effectively.

  • Educational Background: Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or related fields.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present insights clearly to stakeholders.

  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management in a global environment.

  • Work Ethic: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.

  • Experience: 4+ years in data analytics, preferably in financial services or commercial banking (not mandatory).
