About the Role

Dentsu is looking for an experienced Lead QA to champion a “quality-first” culture and embed robust testing practices into the entire software delivery lifecycle. You will work closely with solution designers, architects, and developers to ensure end-to-end quality across functional, non-functional, and performance dimensions.

As a Lead QA, you will play a critical role in defining unit testing strategies, leading test automation efforts, monitoring performance metrics, and mitigating risks before production releases. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both technical expertise and strong stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaboration & Unit Testing

  • Partner with designers and developers to define, create, and maintain a comprehensive suite of unit tests aligned with solution designs.

  • Continuously evolve test coverage to match feature development, preventing technical debt and quality gaps.

2. Performance & Observability

  • Design and implement telemetry pipelines with tools such as InfluxDB, Grafana, and Prometheus.

  • Build real-time dashboards, monitor system health, and generate clear, actionable reports for both technical and business stakeholders.

3. Defect & Risk Management

  • Lead defect triage, prioritization, and remediation planning.

  • Act as a strong advocate for quality, including making go/no-go release recommendations based on risk assessment.

4. Environment & Test Data

  • Ensure test environments are production-like with correct configurations, components, and test data to support complex scenarios.

5. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide regular status updates to senior stakeholders, translating technical findings into business impact.

  • Collaborate with architects and product owners to highlight risks, weak spots, and recommend design improvements.

  • Mentor developers and QA engineers to raise quality standards across the delivery teams.

Must-Have Skills

✅ Strong QA background in complex system delivery and distributed systems
✅ Hands-on expertise with unit testing, functional & non-functional testing
✅ API Testing tools: Postman, Bruno
✅ Performance Testing tools: K6 (JavaScript)
✅ Telemetry & monitoring: Grafana, InfluxDB, Prometheus
✅ Proven experience with Azure-hosted platforms, API Gateways (Gravitee desirable), and Kubernetes (AKS)
✅ Excellent communication skills to present risks and outcomes clearly
✅ Experience in CI/CD pipeline integration and DevOps testing automation
✅ Load Testing expertise using K6
✅ Leadership experience (minimum 2+ years as QA Lead)
✅ Proven track record of leading QA efforts for data migration projects

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in high-volume transaction platforms, e-commerce, or booking systems

  • Knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools

  • Relevant certifications in QA or Test Management

Educational Qualifications & Certifications

🎓 Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
🏅 Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Azure Certification

  • Snowflake Associate / Core Certification

Expected Salary

Competitive salary range of ₹15 LPA – ₹25 LPA (depending on experience, skills, and leadership capabilities), along with a comprehensive benefits package.
