Job Description:
As an Avaloq Test Analyst at Barclays you will drive quality and reliability across Private Bank Processing systems by designing, executing and maintaining comprehensive test strategies for Avaloq (or equivalent core banking) implementations. You’ll work on end-to-end testing activities—test strategy, planning, design, execution, defect management and reporting—ensuring that client onboarding, payments, investments, lending and reporting workflows meet functional and regulatory expectations. Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design and document end-to-end test strategies and detailed test plans that cover functional, integration, regression and acceptance testing for Avaloq modules.

2. Create, execute and maintain automated test scripts and regression suites to accelerate release cycles and ensure repeatable validation across environments.

3. Develop and run SQL queries and data validation checks to verify data integrity, reconciliation results, and report outputs.

4. Manage defects through the full lifecycle in JIRA—triage, prioritize, reproduce, track fixes and verify remediation.

5. Collaborate with product owners, business analysts and developers to translate requirements into clear acceptance criteria and test cases.

6. Perform root-cause analysis for production and pre-production incidents; produce risk assessments and recommended corrective actions.

7. Contribute to test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration points, and pipeline-driven test execution to support DevOps practices.

8. Produce high-quality test documentation, status reports, and test evidence for audit/regulatory purposes.

9. Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning and demos, providing testing estimates and quality risk inputs.

10. Mentor junior testers, review test artifacts, and help institutionalize best practices for test design and automation.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Prior hands-on experience with Avaloq core banking product—or demonstrable experience with other core banking platforms and their testing lifecycle. Expand: familiarity with Avaloq modules (onboarding, payments, investments, lending) accelerates onboarding and domain understanding.
