Goldman Sachs – Analyst / Sr Analyst – Credit Review (Risk Division)

Job Description:
Goldman Sachs is hiring Analysts and Senior Analysts for its Credit Review team within the Risk Division in Hyderabad. This division is dedicated to managing credit, market, liquidity, and operational risk—ensuring the firm’s financial stability while meeting regulatory standards.

As a member of the Credit Review group, you will play a crucial role in independently assessing the adequacy of credit risk ratings, management processes, and controls. You will perform systematic reviews of wholesale credit portfolios, conduct industry sector monitoring, and provide assurance to senior management, regulators, and the Board.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Conduct systematic reviews of wholesale credit portfolios to ensure risk identification and documentation accuracy.

2. Perform independent credit analysis and prepare reports in line with Credit Review procedures and regulatory guidance.

3. Evaluate the adequacy of analysis completed by the Credit Risk team, including accuracy of ratings and compliance with policies.

4. Participate in industry reviews and continuous monitoring of assigned sectors such as industrials, energy, technology, telecom, CRE, and asset-secured lending.

5. Prepare quarterly reports on portfolio-level risks and emerging industry trends.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams while maintaining independence from the Credit Risk function.

7. Stay updated with industry regulations, market changes, and lending standards.

8. Support compliance with internal and external risk management frameworks.

9. Communicate findings clearly to senior management and other stakeholders.

10. Contribute to process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance risk review effectiveness.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

2. Experience: 0–3 years in credit analysis, corporate finance, ratings analysis, or research.

3. Knowledge of credit/loan risk review processes or internal audit is a plus.

4. Familiarity with credit/loan documentation and banking regulations.

5. Exposure to capital markets and lending products is beneficial.

6. Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

7. Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

9. Team player with adaptability, motivation, and quick learning ability.

10. Detail-oriented with strong judgment and problem-solving capabilities.

Expected Salary:
