Citi: Senior Quality Engineer – Vice President

Job Description:

As a Senior Quality Engineer – Vice President at Citi Pune, you will lead and manage multiple IT Quality teams or an IT Quality functional area, depending on the size of the business. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and enhance the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollouts into production. You will collaborate with technology project managers, UAT professionals, and users to design and implement appropriate scripts/plans for application testing strategies.

In this role, you will also be responsible for software quality assurance testing, ensuring that all testing activities are aligned with Citi's standards and procedures. You will analyze trends at an organizational level to improve processes, develop and implement methods for cost, effort, and milestones of IT Quality activities, and strive for continuous improvements and streamlining of processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Lead initiatives related to UAT processes and product rollouts into production, ensuring alignment with business requirements and quality standards.

2. Team Management: Manage multiple IT Quality teams or an IT Quality functional area, overseeing performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, and budget approval.

3. Process Improvement: Analyze trends at an organizational level to improve processes, develop and implement methods for cost, effort, and milestones of IT Quality activities, and strive for continuous improvements.

4. Standards and Procedures: Develop and design standards and procedures; ensure adherence throughout the software development life cycle.

5. Organizational Change Management: Manage organizational process change, ensuring consistency and quality of processes across the organization.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with local and global stakeholders like QA teams, production support teams, environment management teams, and DBA teams to ensure project stability and productivity.

7. Risk Management: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi's clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

8. Budgeting and Resource Management: Responsible for budgeting, project estimates, task management, and balancing prioritization across multiple streams of development.

9. Mentorship and Career Development: Provide mentorship and career development support for team members, including delivering performance reviews, training, and recruiting.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Experience: Minimum of 10 years in IT Quality and Quality Engineering, with a proven track record in managing quality engineering teams and processes.

2. Technical Skills:

   • In-depth understanding of software quality assurance methodologies and best practices.

   • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes and product rollouts into production.

   • Familiarity with industry standards and procedures related to software development life cycles.

3. Leadership Skills:

   • Proven ability to manage and lead multiple teams or functional areas.

   • Experience in performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, and disciplinary actions.

   • Strong mentoring and career development skills.

4. Analytical Skills:

   • Ability to analyze trends at an organizational level to improve processes.

   • Experience in developing and implementing methods for cost, effort, and milestones of IT Quality activities.

5. Communication Skills:

   • Developed communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince others.

   • Ability to collaborate with local and global stakeholders to ensure project stability and productivity.

6. Risk Management:

   • Ability to appropriately assess risk when making business decisions.

   • Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding Citi's clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Expected Salary:

The expected salary for the Senior Quality Engineer – Vice President role at Citi India ranges between ₹30,00,000 and ₹45,00,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
