Position Overview:
Mastercard is seeking a Software Quality Engineer II-2 to join its dynamic QA team in Pune. In this role, you’ll work at the heart of our data-driven intelligence platform, supporting real-time applications used globally. You’ll be responsible for ensuring high-quality software through strategic test design, execution, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts

Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing

Log and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and collaborate with developers to resolve issues

Develop automated test scripts to enhance test efficiency and coverage
-
Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI teams throughout the SDLC
-
Document test outcomes and maintain detailed test reports
-
Continuously improve test methodologies and contribute to code reviews
Required Qualifications:
-
2–3 years of experience in software testing or QA
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
-
Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#)
-
Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG
-
Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or TestRail
-
Understanding of Agile, Scrum, and modern software development life cycles
-
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Proven ability to multitask and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills:
-
ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications
-
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI
-
Exposure to performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
