Gartner: Associate Data Engineer

🧾 About the Role

Join Gartner's People Analytics & Data Strategy team to support the design, development, and implementation of advanced analytics solutions. As an Associate Data Engineer, you'll contribute to building scalable infrastructure and delivering insights that directly impact business performance and people decisions.

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Automate and streamline regular analysis and reporting processes.

• Support release activities, QA validations, and enhancement testing for data pipelines and dashboards.

• Collaborate with IT to structure a scalable HR Data Warehouse with key metrics like Quality of Hire, Productivity, and Resourcing.

• Conduct root cause analysis and design solutions for bugs/issues, including implementation and deployment.

• Execute general administrative reporting and analytics tasks for People Analytics & Systems.

• Contribute analytical support to performance improvement projects, delivering insights and driving actionable changes.

• Translate complex data sets into business-friendly reports and visuals for stakeholder consumption.

• Address ad-hoc business reporting/data needs across Gartner with accuracy and speed.

📚 What You’ll Need

• 1–3 years of experience in data automation, analytics, or related roles.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a similar technical field.

• Keen interest in HR analytics, data engineering, data visualization, or BI consulting.

• Strong problem-solving skills using data and analytics in real-world business scenarios.

• Hands-on experience with Power BI or other visualization tools. Visier is a plus.

• Preferred experience with tools like:

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Azure Data Factory

  • Data Pipelines & Transformation

  • ETL frameworks
