You will own and prioritize test execution, hands‑on validation, and certification to ensure our software is ready for production.

🛠️ What Your Job Will Look Like

• Manual & Automated Testing: Execute test procedures and scripts—manually or via tools like QTP/REX—against telecom billing and digital platforms.

• Test Supervision & Reporting: Monitor test cycles, record outcomes, and report on risks, defects, coverage, and metrics.

• Root‑Cause Analysis: Analyze script failures and discrepancies; collaborate with development to propose fixes and system improvements.

• Data & Environment Management: Prepare mainframe test data, schedule batch jobs (ESP/CA7), and troubleshoot abends in JCL, COBOL, VSAM, and CICS.

• Automation & Tools: Build and maintain mainframe automation frameworks; leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for test environments.

• Design Reviews & Collaboration: Contribute to test strategy reviews, work with stakeholders, and refine quality metrics aligned to business requirements.

Core Skills & Experience (Must Have)

• Telecom Billing & Mainframe Expertise: Hands‑on with JCL, COBOL, VSAM, CICS, DB2/IMS/IDMS.

• Batch Scheduling & Data Prep: Experience using ESP/CA7, Connect:Direct (C:D), MQ Series, and preparing batch cycle test data.

• Automation Proficiency: QTP or REX on mainframe platforms.

• STLC & Defect Management: Strong grasp of system testing life cycle, test design, execution, and defect tracking tools.

• Cloud Platform Knowledge: Working familiarity with AWS, Azure, or equivalent.

• Communication & Collaboration: Clear verbal and written skills; ability to work with cross‑functional teams.

Highly Valued (Good to Have)

• Experience resolving mainframe abends/errors and optimizing batch performance.

• Prior exposure to continuous testing in a DevOps/CI environment.

• Capability to write independent quality test designs and automation scripts.
