🔍 QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)
📍 Location: Manyata N1 Block, Bengaluru, India

Merkle is looking for a talented QA Engineer to join our quality assurance team to test, validate, and optimize enterprise software products. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting both manual and automated testing, identifying bugs, and ensuring our products meet all functional, performance, and usability expectations.

You will work closely with product managers, developers, and system engineers to guarantee end-to-end quality — from requirement analysis to production deployment.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute accurate test cases (positive, negative & exception scenarios).

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.

  • Log, track, and analyze defects through their lifecycle, identifying root causes and ensuring resolution.

  • Validate software against architectural and business requirements.

  • Provide feedback on usability and performance issues.

  • Configure and run test automation frameworks (Codecept.js, Serenity BDD, Cucumber).

  • Execute stability and performance tests using tools like JMeter.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in scrum meetings, requirement reviews, and test strategy discussions.

  • Maintain comprehensive QA documentation, test results, and bug reports.

  • Support production issue analysis and root cause identification.

  • Work with tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress to automate test scenarios.

  • Use Java, JavaScript, or Python to develop or extend automation scripts.

✅ Job Requirements

Must Have:

  • 1–4 years of experience in QA (Manual & Automation).

  • Strong knowledge of test planning, execution, and defect lifecycle.

  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.

  • Experience in at least one programming language: Java, JavaScript, or Python.

  • Exposure to automation frameworks like Codecept.js, Serenity BDD, or Cucumber.

  • Familiarity with performance testing using JMeter.

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.

  • Strong communication & reporting skills, especially when working with senior stakeholders.

Good to Have:

  • Familiarity with performance/load testing methodologies.

  • Working knowledge of TDD, BDD, and test pyramid models.

  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Git, and cloud platforms like Azure.
