Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain visualization products and data applications that enhance analytical capabilities and support strategic decision-making.

• Translate complex datasets into clear, engaging dashboards and reports for leadership and business teams.

• Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and designers using design thinking frameworks to create user-centered visualization products.

• Drive efficiency and innovation in data visualization, exploring new techniques for personalized insights and advanced analytics.

• Monitor performance trends, pipeline health, and anomalies to ensure the reliability of business-critical data.

• Use prototyping tools such as Figma to wireframe visualization concepts and deliver clean, effective user interfaces.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with Expedia’s global strategy and brand goals.

• Continuously explore and adopt new technologies such as D3.js, Spark, and Python to expand the scope and scalability of visualization solutions.

• Ensure data quality, availability, and consistency, enabling decision-makers to trust and act on insights.

• Actively contribute to Expedia Group’s vision of being the world’s leading travel platform through impactful data storytelling.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a BI developer, data analyst, or analytics engineer with a focus on data visualization.

• Strong expertise in Tableau, with proficiency in Level of Detail (LOD) calculations, dashboard actions, and performance optimization.

• Solid knowledge of SQL for data manipulation, transformation, and integration across multiple sources.

• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools, with the ability to design and optimize workflows.

• Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, and an appreciation for strong UI/UX design principles.

• Ability to manage projects end-to-end, with strong communication skills for working with diverse stakeholders.

• A passion for data storytelling, ensuring that insights are delivered with clarity, design excellence, and business impact.

• Openness to learning new tools and technologies such as D3.js, Spark, or Python to expand technical skillsets.

• Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to see the bigger business picture.
