Job Description
As a Product Performance Test Engineer at Wolters Kluwer, you will play a vital role in ensuring that enterprise-grade products deliver consistent performance, scalability, and reliability under real-world workloads. Based in the Pune Global In-house Center, this role focuses on validating system behavior across multiple environments and usage patterns. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to assess how applications perform under stress, peak loads, and complex scenarios, helping ensure that customers experience stable and responsive solutions.
This role emphasizes hands-on performance testing expertise combined with strong analytical thinking. You will design workload models, develop performance test scripts, execute tests, and analyze results to identify bottlenecks and performance risks. By leveraging industry-standard tools and cloud infrastructure knowledge, you will help teams proactively address performance concerns before production release. Your insights will directly influence architectural decisions, system tuning, and optimization strategies.

Roles & Responsibilities

Identify and validate performance test objectives by understanding system requirements, usage patterns, and business expectations.

Define and implement performance test approaches, including workload modeling and scenario design.

Develop and maintain performance test scripts using appropriate tools, techniques, and programming languages.

Execute performance, load, and stress tests across multiple environments as per defined test plans.

Analyze test execution results to identify bottlenecks, anomalies, and performance risks.

Troubleshoot performance issues and collaborate with engineering teams to support root cause analysis.

Clearly articulate and communicate test execution challenges, risks, and observations to stakeholders.

Review test results and establish hypotheses based on data-driven analysis and system behavior.

Identify, create, and manage test data required for realistic performance test execution.

Log, track, and support triage of performance-related defects until resolution.
Requirements & Eligibility

2–5 years of hands-on experience in performance testing for enterprise or product-based applications.

Working knowledge of performance testing and monitoring tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or Visual Studio.

Understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure, and its impact on application performance.

Experience applying different performance test techniques and selecting the right approach for specific scenarios.

Proficiency in programming languages such as C, JavaScript, or C#, with a solid understanding of OOP concepts.

Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills to analyze performance metrics and identify root causes.

Basic working knowledge of databases, especially SQL Server, for data validation and analysis.

Good communication skills with the ability to explain performance findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams with a focus on quality and delivery.

Willingness to work in a hybrid model and attend onsite sessions as required.
