Job Description

As an Executive – Junior Engineer at VOIS, you will be a key player in maintaining the operational excellence of Vodafone’s intelligent network systems. This role focuses on network fault management, performance monitoring, and ensuring seamless technical operations across large-scale enterprise environments. You will actively contribute to ensuring that Vodafone’s global network remains reliable, scalable, and secure — supporting millions of customers worldwide.

In this role, you’ll work closely with senior engineers to monitor performance, identify operational issues, and drive automation and efficiency within the system infrastructure. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to performance management tools, virtualization technologies, and Unix/Linux systems, allowing you to build a strong technical foundation and grow into more advanced engineering roles.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor system performance, network uptime, and operational metrics to ensure compliance with defined service levels.

• Acknowledge and resolve incidents, problems, and service requests efficiently, escalating complex issues when necessary.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across development, operations, and service delivery to ensure smooth functioning of applications.

• Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance operation plans (MOPs) using tools like Confluence and Jira.

• Perform trend analysis on system and network data to identify performance bottlenecks or recurring issues.

• Support automation initiatives using shell scripting or Python to optimize manual operational tasks.

• Gain in-depth knowledge of performance management solutions and data flow processes within Vodafone’s architecture.

• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to continually improve process efficiency and system understanding.

• Maintain accurate technical documentation for audits, training, and handover purposes.

• Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills and commitment to delivering high-quality technical support.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field from a recognized institution.

• Strong conceptual understanding of network performance management tools and their operational frameworks.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management best practices.

• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, with hands-on experience in basic commands and scripting.

• Proficiency in shell scripting, Python, or other automation languages will be an added advantage.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to handle system-level issues independently.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across global teams.

• A quick learner with a self-driven attitude and passion for emerging technologies.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic operational environment.

• Commitment to maintaining documentation accuracy and ensuring compliance with Vodafone’s quality standards.

Expected Salary
