Job Description:

Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (VOIS), the strategic shared services arm of Vodafone Group, is hiring a Manual Test Engineer in Pune to support testing across digital video platforms. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of IPTV, OTT, and streaming solutions across multiple devices such as Set-Top Boxes, Smart TVs, and mobile platforms. In this role, you will collaborate with product teams, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders to analyze requirements, design test cases, and execute comprehensive testing strategies. Your responsibilities will also include defect tracking, log analysis, and validating video workflows, ensuring seamless streaming experiences across platforms. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and technical requirements, collaborating with clients and product teams to ensure clear understanding of testing objectives.
• Design detailed and comprehensive test cases, ensuring full coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Execute manual testing across multiple platforms including Set-Top Boxes, Smart TVs, mobile devices, and OTT applications.
• Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman to validate backend services and integrations.
• Conduct network and log analysis using tools such as Wireshark, Fiddler, and Charles Proxy to identify root causes of issues.
• Work on IPTV configuration, installation, and troubleshooting to ensure end-to-end validation of video delivery workflows.
• Validate streaming protocols such as MPEG-DASH, HLS, and HDS to ensure seamless playback across devices.
• Provide regular status updates, reports, and insights to stakeholders and management teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to ensure high-quality product delivery and continuous improvement.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in software testing, preferably in digital video, IPTV, or OTT domains.
• Strong knowledge of IPTV systems, OTT platforms, and Set-Top Box (STB) testing environments.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools for validating backend services.
• Familiarity with video streaming protocols such as MPEG-DASH, HLS, and HDS.
• Understanding of DRM, CDN, and media workflows including Video on Demand (VOD), EPG, and nPVR.
• Experience with network analysis tools such as Wireshark, Charles Proxy, or Fiddler for troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including routers, modems, multicasting, and bandwidth management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to work effectively in global teams.
• Exposure to tools like Splunk, Android Debug Bridge, or Xcode is an added advantage.
