Virtusa: QA Automation Lead

Job Overview:

As a QA Automation Lead at Virtusa, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Virtusa’s digital solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage the automation testing efforts, including test case development, execution, and reporting. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that software applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

In this role, you will also be responsible for mentoring junior team members, optimizing test processes, and driving continuous improvement in testing methodologies. Your contributions will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity and performance of Virtusa's digital solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with multiple sub-groups to ensure seamless cross-functional alignment.

2. Task Management: Lead daily task allocation, ensuring optimal distribution of work and resource utilization.

3. Operational Excellence: Monitor and uphold turnaround times (TATs), while ensuring targeted production volumes are consistently met.

4. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of data accuracy, process integrity, and accountability across deliverables.

5. Reporting & Insights: Drive the timely generation and delivery of daily, weekly, and periodic reports to stakeholders.

6. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

7. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of testing strategies and methodologies.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Experience: Minimum of 8 years in QA Automation, with a proven track record in leading automation testing efforts.

2. Technical Skills:

   • Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks.

   • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies.

   • Experience with scripting languages and test automation tools.

3. Leadership Skills:

   • Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.

   • Experience in task allocation and resource management.

   • Strong mentoring and coaching skills.

4. Analytical Skills:

   • Ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential areas for improvement.

   • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

5. Communication Skills:

   • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

   • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

6. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
