🧭 Your Role
Join UBS as a Test Automation Engineer, where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality software solutions for the next-generation Wealth Management platform in the Americas region. You will report to the QA Manager and closely collaborate with QA Leads, Development Managers, Technical Leads, and Business Stakeholders.
As a key contributor, you’ll be responsible for both Change the Bank and Run the Bank testing engagements, ensuring end-to-end quality control. You’ll bring a deep understanding of testing methodologies, automation expertise, and leadership skills to guide and mentor QA teams across multiple geographies.
🧩 Your Skill Set
To succeed in this role, UBS is looking for professionals with the following:

7–8+ years of experience in quality assurance, with hands-on involvement in complex systems and business processes.

Deep knowledge of SDLC, defect lifecycle, and QA principles.

Proven expertise in test management tools such as JIRA and HP Quality Center.

Strong automation skills with tools like Selenium, TestComplete, and QTP, paired with solid programming knowledge in Java and VBScript.

Ability to create robust test data, automate complex workflows, and handle regression cycles independently.

Experience with Wealth Management applications (client-facing, FA-facing, and mobile platforms) is a strong plus.

Leadership skills to manage a small distributed QA team and align testing objectives with business outcomes.

Proficient in writing structured reports and communicating testing progress effectively.

You’ll be part of the WMAP Serviceworks Team in Pune, a dynamic and cross-functional Agile team made up of full-stack developers, business analysts, QA engineers, and DevOps professionals. The team works with the latest tech stack to support UBS’s Wealth Management initiatives in the Americas.

Responsibilities
🧑💻 Key Responsibilities
Engage in all aspects of Software Testing Life Cycle—from test planning and execution to defect management and reporting.
Collaborate with developers and business analysts in an Agile environment.
Lead and coordinate testing efforts across onshore, nearshore, and offshore teams.
Work with modern test automation tools to improve coverage, efficiency, and reliability.
Prepare test strategies, estimate efforts, and contribute to project-level reporting.
Interface regularly with QA managers to discuss project status, potential risks, and resourcing needs.
Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defect logs.
