Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Testing Automation Senior professional to join our growing Quality Engineering team in Pune. This role involves leading the design, development, and execution of robust automated testing solutions to ensure the delivery of high-quality software applications. As a senior team member, you will be responsible for improving automation coverage, optimizing testing frameworks, and mentoring junior QA engineers.

You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to translate requirements into automated test scenarios that reduce manual efforts, accelerate release cycles, and improve software reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend services.

• Develop and execute automated test scripts to validate functional, regression, and integration scenarios.

• Collaborate with development teams to identify automation opportunities early in the SDLC.

• Conduct code reviews of test scripts to ensure best practices, maintainability, and reusability.

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.

• Analyze test execution results, log defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.

• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior QA and automation engineers.

• Document automation strategy, frameworks, and best practices for future reference.

• Support performance and load testing initiatives by building reusable components.

• Continuously evaluate new automation tools, libraries, and technologies to improve testing efficiency.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.

• 6–10+ years of hands-on experience in test automation, with strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Expertise in automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or TestNG.

• Experience with API testing tools/frameworks such as Postman, Rest-Assured.

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps for automated test integration.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.

• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

• ISTQB or equivalent QA/Automation certifications preferred.

Expected Salary:
A Testing Automation Senior professional in Pune can expect a competitive salary in the range of ₹12 LPA – ₹20 LPA, depending on experience, skill set, and automation expertise.
