Position Overview: Software Test Engineer – GUI Testing (Ranorex)

We’re looking for a motivated Software Test Engineer with expertise in GUI test automation tools, particularly Ranorex, to strengthen our testing team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in designing, developing, and executing regression test suites for modular, highly flexible automation systems used in Windows environments.

What You’ll Do:

• Participate in the development and release testing process for automation systems.

• Collaborate with developers and QA teams to create robust test concepts and strategies.

• Analyze and evaluate software requirements with a focus on testability and coverage.

• Design and document test cases, based on requirements and established testing standards.

• Build simulation environments and test setups to validate system functionality.

• Execute, monitor, and document tests on simulators and actual test systems.

• Ensure continuous improvement in test automation and quality assurance.

Your Profile – Skills & Qualifications:

• Educational Background: MSc in Computer Science, Automation Technology, or equivalent.

• Experience: 3 to 6 years in software testing, especially in MS Windows, GUI-based applications, and systems involving real-time interactions and databases.

• Strong grasp of software testing methodologies, planning, and execution tools.

• Hands-on experience in Ranorex or similar GUI test automation tools.

• Proficiency in version control systems (GIT) and related workflows.

• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Batch (advantageous).

• Understanding of communication protocols such as CAN, EtherCAT, Profinet, UDP, OPC-UA, or ODX is a plus.

• Structured thinking, strong team collaboration, and the willingness to take ownership.

• Optional: German language skills are an added advantage.
