Job Description:

Siemens Digital Industries Software is hiring a Software QA Engineer in Pune to support its advanced Research & Development initiatives within the Digital Industries division. In this role, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of cutting-edge CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software platforms used to design complex systems like Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, and spacecraft components. This role requires a strong foundation in CAE/FEA tools and simulation workflows, combined with a passion for software quality assurance. Working closely with R&D engineers, product designers, and cross-functional teams, you will validate new features, identify defects through root-cause analysis, and contribute to automation initiatives that enhance product stability across Linux and Windows environments.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design, plan, and execute detailed test strategies for CAE/FEA software modules and simulation workflows to ensure high product quality and timely delivery.

2. Develop and maintain automated and manual test programs aligned with R&D verification diagnostics and functional requirements.

3. Perform system-level and functional testing of simulation software, validating numerical accuracy, solver performance, and cross-platform compatibility.

4. Conduct root-cause analysis for software defects and emulation failures, collaborating closely with development teams to resolve complex technical issues.

5. Validate integration between hardware and software components, improving overall HW/SW solutions based on structured testing outcomes.

6. Ensure consistent functional quality across Linux and Windows platforms, maintaining reliability in multi-environment deployments.

7. Take ownership of complex testing activities and provide technical leadership when required, guiding team members in best QA practices.

8. Work closely with product management and engineering teams to refine acceptance criteria, simulation parameters, and performance benchmarks.

9. Contribute to automation initiatives by leveraging scripting or programming skills to improve regression coverage and testing efficiency.

10. Maintain comprehensive documentation including test cases, validation reports, defect logs, and release quality metrics.

Requirements & Eligibility:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline with a strong academic background in engineering principles.

2. 2–4 years of professional experience in CAE/FEA environments, including hands-on usage of HyperMesh or similar finite element pre-processing tools.

3. Practical experience working with FEA solvers such as LS-DYNA, Radioss, HyperWorks, or equivalent simulation platforms.

4. Strong understanding of finite element theory, numerical methods, and simulation validation techniques.

5. Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, with exposure to scripting or programming for automation and validation tasks.

6. Experience performing system-level software testing and validating cross-platform engineering applications.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying simulation inconsistencies or computational errors.

8. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across R&D, product design, and engineering teams.

9. Ability to manage complex test cycles independently while ensuring alignment with product release timelines.

10. Passion for high-quality engineering software and commitment to continuous improvement in testing methodologies.

Expected Salary:
