Job Description:

Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited is seeking a Backend Developer with hands-on experience in Java or Golang to join its Foundational Technologies team in Pune. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native backend services using Java or Golang, following best practices and coding standards.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support scalable and secure applications.

• Work with event streaming and processing frameworks such as Kafka or Flink for real-time data handling.

• Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and minimize production issues.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and testing processes.

• Leverage AWS services to design and deploy backend solutions in a cloud environment.

• Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to improving coding standards.

• Troubleshoot and optimize backend performance to ensure scalability and efficiency.

• Document code, architecture, and processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech), MCA, or related field with a strong academic background.

• 2–4 years of experience in software development, with proven expertise in Java or Golang.

• Strong experience in building backend services and microservices architectures.

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies, including deployment and configuration.

• Experience with event-driven systems and streaming platforms like Kafka or Flink.

• Good understanding of REST API design, HTTP protocols, and backend security practices.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Ability to write high-quality, testable code with unit and integration tests.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-motivated mindset.

• Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.

Expected Salary:

The average salary for a Backend Developer (Java/Golang) at Siemens in Pune typically ranges between ₹8 LPA and ₹14 LPA, based on experience, skill set, and exposure to cloud-native solutions.
