Rubiscape: QA Engineer

Job Description:
Rubiscape is looking for a highly skilled and motivated QA Engineer to join its growing team and contribute to the quality and reliability of its award-winning Data Science & Machine Learning (DSML) platform. In this role, you will be involved in the entire software testing lifecycle – from requirement gathering to final deployment – ensuring robust, scalable, and high-performing applications. Your role will combine manual and automation testing, using advanced tools and frameworks to validate both web and desktop applications, APIs, and performance metrics.

This position is ideal for professionals passionate about testing and quality engineering who want to work in a fast-paced, innovative product environment. You will design and implement automation frameworks, write comprehensive test plans, and ensure that defect leakages are minimized before production release. Working closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members, you will play a key role in maintaining Rubiscape’s commitment to delivering a world-class data intelligence platform.

In addition to technical testing responsibilities, you will mentor junior QA associates, lead quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Participate in all phases of the software testing lifecycle, from requirement analysis to post-deployment validation.

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for web and desktop applications using tools like Pytest, Playwright, and Selenium.

• Prepare detailed test plans covering smoke, regression, integration, component, and sanity testing with maximum coverage.

• Write, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for functional and non-functional requirements.

• Conduct end-to-end testing to ensure minimum defect leakage and high product stability before production release.

• Perform API and performance testing using tools like Postman, JMeter, and LoadRunner.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to triage defects, prepare reports, and track progress throughout the sprint.

• Create and maintain test documentation and reports to provide stakeholders with visibility into quality metrics.

• Mentor and guide junior QA associates to improve testing practices and optimize team performance.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and ensure automation tests are integrated for continuous quality validation.

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in functional, non-functional, and automation testing for web and desktop applications.

• Proficiency in Python for writing automated test scripts with Pytest, Playwright, or Selenium frameworks.

• Hands-on experience with SQL for database validation and working knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB.

• Expertise in API testing (Postman) and performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner).

• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or SVN.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for testing and deployment environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with attention to detail.

• Good understanding of REST, JSON, XML, and web service concepts.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with development and product teams.

Expected Salary:
QA Engineers at Rubiscape in Pune typically earn between ₹5 LPA and ₹10 LPA depending on their experience, automation expertise, and tool proficiency. Professionals with advanced skills in CI/CD integration and data science testing exposure may earn salaries at the higher end of this range.
