Job Description

As an Automation QA Engineer at Quest Global, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional Scrum team working on cutting-edge products across the HiTech and multi-industry domain. This role focuses on building high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions by embedding automation-driven quality practices across the development lifecycle. You will work closely with R&D teams, product owners, and developers to validate system behavior, ensure regression stability, and contribute to continuous improvement in quality engineering.

In this position, you will actively participate in feature development discussions, providing early feedback on system behavior and testability. You will execute manual testing while designing and developing robust automation test suites for UI, APIs, databases, and deployment workflows. Your work will help ensure faster releases, reduced production defects, and improved customer satisfaction. You will also support issue analysis by collaborating with support teams and resolving complex product issues through structured debugging and testing approaches.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work as part of a cross-functional Scrum team, collaborating closely with R&D, product owners, and developers.

• Execute manual tests and develop automation test suites for regression and new feature validation.

• Design and build scalable test automation frameworks, harnesses, and reusable code libraries.

• Automate UI components, API workflows, database validations, and test data generation processes.

• Install, configure, and maintain test environments with the latest product deliveries.

• Participate in feature grooming and design discussions, providing inputs on expected system behavior.

• Analyze, debug, and resolve product issues while supporting customer-facing and support teams.

• Monitor QA effectiveness and drive improvements using insights gathered across SDLC and STLC stages.

• Interface with multiple R&D, support, and services teams to ensure aligned quality outcomes.

• Contribute to test planning, estimation, scheduling, and scope definition activities.

Requirements & Eligibility

• Strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver with Java for UI automation.

• Hands-on experience in API automation using REST Assured.

• Proven ability to design and develop automation frameworks and end-to-end test solutions.

• Experience with scripting and programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, and Shell scripting.

• Solid understanding of SQL with the ability to write complex database queries for validation.

• Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git.

• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA and TestRail.

• In-depth knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and test project management.

• Broad understanding of QA best practices and testing approaches across Agile delivery models.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
