Job Description

As a Senior QE Engineer at NTT DATA, you will play a crucial role in building, validating, and improving digital solutions for global enterprises leveraging modern automation frameworks and scalable testing practices. You will evaluate the current testing landscape, identify gaps, propose enhancements, and introduce new tools or practices that align with NTT DATA's commitment to excellence. The role also involves mentoring other QA engineers, supporting integration challenges, validating code coverage, and ensuring continuous delivery pipelines are equipped with strong automated quality checks. Roles & Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and execute robust automation frameworks and end-to-end automated test suites using tools like Selenium, SpecFlow, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

2. Evaluate existing manual and automated test cases, optimizing or refactoring scripts to enhance reliability, maintainability, and scalability.

3. Perform load, stress, and performance testing using enterprise tools such as JMeter or similar frameworks.

4. Interpret test results, identify failure patterns, and prepare detailed, data-backed test execution and defect reports for stakeholders.

5. Participate in architectural discussions, requirement reviews, and design walkthroughs to proactively identify potential risks or test considerations.

6. Serve as a key automation contact for broader project teams, assisting fellow engineers with automation-related challenges.

7. Manage and maintain virtualized, physical, and simulated environments to support testing at scale.

8. Identify integration issues within distributed applications, coordinating with development teams to diagnose and resolve challenges.

9. Review unit test coverage and provide recommendations to improve code quality and reduce defect leakage.

10. Support cross-functional teams, including DevOps, developers, and product managers, to ensure quality gates are integrated within CI/CD pipelines.

11. Implement testing strategies for large-scale distributed systems, ensuring robust automation infrastructure is in place.

12. Mentor junior QA team members, advocating best practices, and fostering a growth-oriented engineering culture.

Requirements & Eligibility

1. 4+ years of hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, SpecFlow, or similar platforms.

2. Strong proficiency in building automation frameworks using JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or C#, along with working SQL knowledge.

3. Deep understanding of automation architecture, iterative development, and enterprise-grade automation strategies.

4. Experience performing load and stress testing using tools like JMeter, and understanding how to interpret performance results.

5. Familiarity with Identity and Access Management testing scenarios and complex authentication flows is a strong advantage.

6. Good understanding of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Gherkin syntax, and frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.

7. Experience supporting large-scale digital systems with complex integrations and distributed environments.

8. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with a curiosity-driven mindset.

9. Strong communication skills, enabling clear articulation of technical designs, test strategies, and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

10. Experience in leadership or mentorship roles is beneficial and demonstrates readiness to support team growth.

11. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt quickly in fast-paced, evolving project environments.
