As a Software Engineer at Michelin, you will play an important role in creating secure, scalable, and high-performance applications while supporting end-to-end software development lifecycle activities. Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable software applications using modern programming languages, frameworks, cloud technologies, and DevSecOps methodologies.
- Write clean, secure, maintainable, and efficient code while following software engineering standards, coding best practices, and security-by-design principles.
- Build and optimize REST APIs, backend services, and frontend interfaces using technologies such as React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and incremental software enhancements while leveraging AI-powered development and testing tools for improved productivity.
- Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and cloud infrastructure processes to support reliable software releases.
- Perform unit testing, regression testing, and quality assurance activities using AI-assisted testing platforms and automation tools such as Playwright and JMeter.
- Monitor application performance, analyze logs, resolve production incidents, and support operational reliability using AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, and AI-driven monitoring tools.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, reporting systems, and analytics dashboards using Databricks, SQL, Power BI, Grafana, and cloud-based BI technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, UX/UI teams, and technical experts to gather business requirements and improve software usability and customer experience.
- Support production environments, participate in change management processes, and provide technical assistance during deployments or incident resolution activities.
- Contribute to cloud operations and infrastructure management using AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, ECS, Step Functions, and CloudFormation.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, deployment guides, testing records, and operational procedures to support long-term application maintainability.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline with strong software development fundamentals.
- 1–3 years of professional experience in software development, application engineering, cloud computing, or full-stack development environments.
- Strong programming knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, and modern frontend/backend application development practices.
- Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB Atlas, SQL systems, and cloud-based data storage solutions.
- Hands-on exposure to AWS cloud services including Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, ECS, Step Functions, and cloud deployment processes.
- Familiarity with Git version control, JIRA project management tools, Agile methodologies, and DevSecOps workflows in enterprise software environments.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, unit testing, performance testing, and software quality assurance practices.
- Knowledge of data engineering and business intelligence tools such as Databricks, Power BI, Grafana, AWS Glue, Redshift, Athena, or Elasticsearch will be beneficial.
- Exposure to mobile and frontend technologies such as React Native, Flutter, Kotlin, Swift, Material UI, or Figma will be considered an advantage.
- Understanding of cloud security concepts, infrastructure automation, Linux CLI, Bash scripting, and monitoring solutions for scalable cloud environments.
- Ability to use AI tools for code generation, optimization, troubleshooting, testing automation, data exploration, and analytics-driven decision-making.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
Expected Salary
The expected salary for a Software Engineer at Michelin in Pune generally ranges between ₹7 LPA to ₹15 LPA depending on technical expertise, cloud experience, software development skills, and familiarity with AWS, React, Node.js, and DevOps technologies.
